STE engineering is a leading Italian enterprise residing in the North of Italy and devoted to production of professional ISM wireless data telemetry applications.
Provided of an excellent RF design in-house center, STE has recently placed an innovative set of IP family with the intent of promoting and advanced energy efficient and cost effective standard applied to wireless sensors.

The Micro.sp® Technology implements innovative approaches to ASSP concepts, energy efficiency, cost effectiveness and hardware integration.
One of the key factors is the extreme reduction if the duty cycle and the use of "Components of the shelves" (COTS concept) to garantee low economical profile and investments. Micro.sp® is the future innovation leading to "battery-less" ubiquitous wireless sensors devices such as TPMS, sensors in white-goods and other promising mass applications.

OUR TARGET

STE is targeting the market with products aimed to Wireless Sensors Network carrying out a system of very low consumption wireless-sensors measuring different environmental parameters.
Micro.sp® is a technology enabling pervasiveness of energy efficient wireless sensors linked to the network as well as to smartphones. Specifically, STE aims to develop products which fit within the Internet of Things concept.

Wireless data transmission can benefit of a big choice of Transmitter, Receiver and Transceiver Integrated Circuits from many IC Manufacturers.
Also on the market there is a huge offer of complete radio modules.
These offers are very attractive but do not solve the problem of the "Communication Protocol". RF communication protocol is a very specialized Job: it is a mix of RF skill and data transmission theory competence in a little-known field of electronic. Low current consumption applications (the case of battery operated wireless remotized sensors) is another example where high specialized solutions must be deployed.
